KEEPMOAT HOSTS THE GOOD MOOD LEAGUE

Roundup of October including the start of 5-A-Side Grading and Junior Sunday League, whilst Keepmoat Stadium hosted Good Mood League.

01/10 The South Yorkshire Ability Counts 5-A-Side Grading got underway, with Adults Reds beginning with three large victories. It was a more mixed day for Adults Blacks, losing one, drawing one but finishing the day with two victories.

08/10 Second matches in the The South Yorkshire Ability Counts 7-A-Side. Adults Grey won all three of their games, keeping three cleans sheets and thirteen goals scored. Meanwhile the Adults White struggled with two unlucky defeats, fitness being a key component to both results.

14/10 The start of our Junior’s campaign in The Sheffield & District Junior Sunday League Disability Divsion. Our U12s and U16s teams took part, but the results went against Titans with both teams losing their respecting games. The club posted, “The kids played their hears out, every child involted today gave it their very best and we are proud of everyone.”

15/10 Second 5-A-Side Grading matches of October. Adults Reds won both their matches with two resounding victories, whilst Adults Black also had two superb victory with a hard-fought draw completing their trio of games.

22/10 Keepmoat Stadium played host to the Good Mood League campaign with fitness affecting the final result. The club posted, “The score in the end didn’t do the game justice, but they worked hard for each other and made plenty of chances.”

TITANS INVADE BRADFORD’S PITCH

10/09 Start of 7-A-Side The South Yorkshire Ability Counts Premier League and Championship. Adults Grey are top of the league following two high-scoring victories. Meanwhile Adults White won one and lost one.

17/09 Club Doncaster Titans achieved a trophy double at the Bradford Disability Football Tournament. The Adult Black and Junior Red came top of their leagues/knockouts. Adult Red, Adult Grey and Junior Black all came second in their respective tournaments.

23/09 Adults participated in The Diamond Foundation Tournament at St George’s Park National Football Centre. There was mixed results with both teams playing against higher caliber opponents.

30/10 Juniors enjoyed a mini-tournament at Bradford City FC Disability Projects. Red U16’s and The U12’s enjoyed two victories and a draw. Black U16’s had a tough afternoon, winning once but losing three matches. The juniors then traveled to Bradford’s Northern Commercials Stadium and played in front of the Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers fans at half-time.

2 TROPHIES AT BRADFORD

Club Doncaster Titans achieved a trophy double at the Bradford Disability Football Tournament on September 17.

Both the Adult Black and Junior Red came top of their leagues/knockouts, which were played out on a wet Sunday morning and afternoon.

Meanwhile Adult Red, Adult Grey and Junior Black all came second in their respective tournaments.

Good Start for Titans

Two Doncaster Titans teams kicked off at the weekend (10 September 2017), with both teams getting wins on the board.

Grey Team began their campaign with thrilling 5-0 and 4-1 wins, which put them at the summit of Division 1 (South Yorkshire Ability Counts League). Goals came from Aaron, Callum, Dan, Dean, Liam and Sean.

Meanwhile a disappointing start for the White Team, after they were well beaten by a good Rotherham side (7-1). An improvement in the second match – saw the boys win 1-0 and lift themselves to third in the Premier division (South Yorkshire Ability Counts League).

KEEPMOAT TOURNAMENT SUCCESS

Just under sixty teams competed in this year’s Annual Disability and Mental Health Tournaments, which took place on Sunday 27 August.

Club Doncaster Titans fielded five teams (four disability, one mental health).

Representatives from the likes of Aston Villa, Barnsley FC, Bradford City, Chesterfield FC, Derby County and Grimsby Town battled it out in numerous groups.

Darren Warner (Chairman) also paid tribute to the tournaments sponsors – Andrews Cooling Ltd, Assured Fire & Security Ltd, Club Doncaster Academy & Foundation, Cook & Lucas Frozen Limited, Cook N Dine, DHL, Tesco, T Quality and Warners Fish Merchants Ltd.

Our Partnership with Club Doncaster and Doncaster Rovers

On 29 April, The Premiership and Championship teams of Club Doncaster Titans Ability Counts FC were invited to attend the Doncaster Rovers and Exeter game, courtesy of Club Doncaster.

The players, coaches and some family members were given free tickets to the game. The Titans was invited to make their way around pitch-side in their kit, being applauded by fans of Rovers. The pitch announcer then welcomed Titans on the pitch to receive a presentation and to celebrate their trophies.

Exeter secured their Play-Off place thanks to a 3-1 win, with goals from Moore-Taylor, Wheeler and McAlinder. James Coppinger got the only goal for Rovers. Despite the result, Rovers was already confirmed for Promotion to League 1 and the League Title is still up for grabs on the final weekend.

B&C TEAMS WIN LEAGUES

The Premiership (Team B, pictured left) and The Championship (Team C, pictured right) 5-a-side teams of Club Doncaster Titans Ability Counts FC have both won their individual leagues after a climatic season-closer. 

Both teams had gone into their final matches (Sunday 23 April) knowing wins would seal their trophies.

Darren Warner (Club Chairman and Manager) said, “It is an absolutely great achievement from both teams to go on and win their leagues. Its been a year to remember. Everyone has been fantastic.”

Local professional team Doncaster Rovers tweeted, “Congratulations to our Club Doncaster partners The Titans on their trophies. Proud to be part of the same team as you.”

Club Doncaster Titans will host their Annual Disability and Mental Health Tournaments on Sunday August 27 2017 at Keepmoat Stadium, Lakeside.
