Roundup of March including a goodbye to a former team member, winning the Adults Championship title and another FA Peoples Cup success!!

11/03 Adults Grey achieved the 7-a-side Championship TITLE and their own PROMOTION in the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League. Grey achieves results of 3-0, 1-4 and will now play in the Premiership from next season. The Whites were also in action – winning 2 and losing 1, whilst doing a mini-round robin tournament at Concord Sports Centre.

20/03 Titans took part in a friendly against Fit Rovers Vets. The game was played in high spirits, with Titans going down in a narrow 9-11 scoreline.

24/03 Players from Titans observe a minutes applause in the memory of former Titan member Ian Hemmingham (2015). He tragically passed away at the age of 38, whilst playing football. Our condolences go to his family and friends.

25/03 Adults Grey defied the odds whilst visiting Powerleague Manchester Central to compete in their FA Peoples Cup Semi-Final. Their scorlines included 4-1, 2-2, 4-0, 6-0, 4-1… before beating Manchester United 3-1, which confirmed their passage to the Finals. Titans will now travel to St George’s Park National Football Centre to compete for the trophy.

27/03 The club gave away 44 tickets to our players/supporters for an England U21 game. They watched as England took on Ukraine in a U21 European Championships qualifier.

Roundup of February including trips to Barnsley and Gainsborough for the Juniors. Whilst the Adults play and conquer the first round of the FA Peoples Cup.

03/02 – U12’s visited Gainsborough and played development matches against Midtown United Disability FC, who recently began a junior squad. The two games ended in resounding victories for Titans, 11-3 and 10-2.

09/02 – Doncaster Titans partnered with School Games Doncaster and Active Fusion to provide an inclusive football event. 200 children took part.

17/02 – U16’s competed in the FA Peoples Cup at Barnsley FC (Oakwell). It was hosted by the Sheffield and District Junior Sunday League. Meanwhile the U12’s also took part in some development games.

17/02 – PFG (People Focused Group) joined Titans Adults in 2 hours of football.

18/02 – Adults Black and Reds were in South Yorkshire Ability Counts League action. Blacks put up some spirited displays, despite losing all their matches. 1-4, 0-4 and 0-3. Whilst the Reds battled to a 1-1 draw before winning 4-0 and 4-1.

19/02 – Doncaster Titans was nominated for Cyril Villiers Organisation of The Year at the Disability Sport Yorkshire awards. Darren Warner (Manager) was also nominated for Coach of the Year.

25/02 – The Adults FA Peoples Cup 2018 took place, with Titans taking 5 teams in total. Grey Adults were the standouts, winning their group – whilst Whites and Blacks were runners up. The club would like to say a special thanks to the volunteers who took charge of their selected teams.

Club Doncaster Titans are proud to announce that we will be delivering a Wildcats Centre for girls, aged between 5-11 years old.

The Wildcats Centre will aim to focus on ability and is an inclusive football session for players with additional needs or a disability.

Roundup of January including a trip for the U12s and U16s at Manchester, a Doncaster league match derby and contrasting fortunes in the 7-A-Side leagues.

14/01 It was a bad day for Titans White in the 7-a-side South Yorkshire Ability Counts League, as they lost all three matches in their Premier encounters. They were undoubtedly unlucky to lose against Rotherham United DFC after fighting back from 3-0 down, only to concede another goal late on. Meanwhile the Titans Grey continue to impress in the Championship, remaining unbeaten with 3-0 and 7-1 victories against Wheatley Wanderers and City Knights respectively. There was also time for a 3-3 draw with Bradford City.

20/01 The U12s and U16s tripped over the Pennines for some matches against CP United (Cerebal Palsy United).

21/01 There was a Doncaster derby in the South Yorkshire Ability Counts League 5-a-side as Titans Red got the 5-3 victory. It was a very hard-fought, fair and well-played contest against Titans Black. Red also won against Wisewood (7-1) and Bradford City Amber (5-3). Meanwhile Black lost 5-2 against Bradford City Blue, before a very impressive 2-0 win against Wisewood.

28/01 A GML match took place against Spireites at Brookfield School, Chesterfield. Titans had various chances but failed to take them, and was then punished in empathic style. Spireites came off the pitch as 15-0 winners.

Roundup of December including a friendly win at Keepmoat Stadium and an in-house tournament which concluded the training sessions of 2017.

03/12 Our team coaches – David Lynch, Dean Hughes, Jordan Hill, Liam Martin Taylor and Martin Wayne Taylor completed their Level 1 Football Coaching Badge. Well done to them.

15/12 Doncaster Titans White won 6-2 against People Focused Group Doncaster. The friendly match was playing in good spirits on the training-pitches of Keepmoat Stadium.

23/12 Final training sessions of 2017, which saw players from Doncaster Titans play in an in-house tournament. The teams combined mixed levels, as they competed to win the treasured ‘Titans Team of the Year’ award.

Roundup of November including a trip to Sheffield Goals for the Spartans FC Tournament, Adults Grey top the Championship table and Titans welcome SEN/Disability Key Stage 2 students.

04/11 Titans visited Oakwell to compete in the The Sheffield & District Junior Sunday League.

05/11 Adults Black played in the Spartans FC Tournament at Sheffield Goals. The team had 4 well-thought draws and finished the day with a win. The tournament itself welcomed 50 players from teams including Bradford City, Pontefract Colliers and Sheffield City Knights.

12/11 It was a bad day at the office for Adults White in The South Yorkshire Ability Counts 7-A-Side, as they lost 6-1 to Doncaster Communication College. Meanwhile Adults Grey continued their hot winning streak, with 4-0 and 4-1 wins. The Grey team are now 7 points clear of the Championship’s chasing pack.

19/11 Adults Reds came out 2-1 winners in their single South Yorkshire Ability Counts 5-A-Side Grading match against Derek Dooley Academy. Both Adults Reds and Adult Blacks then went onto play various Bradford Disability Football Club teams, and had very mixed results.

The first of three events at Club Doncaster Academy for SEN/Disability Key Stage 2 students was held on Friday November 24.

The junior inclusive football festival hosted over 100 children from 9 schools. It was all part of the build up to a World Cup competition in June 2018.

It was run in conjunction with Club Doncaster Titans, Club Doncaster, Club Doncaster Foundation, Doncaster Rovers FC, Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA and Active Fusion

Roundup of October including the start of 5-A-Side Grading and Junior Sunday League, whilst Keepmoat Stadium hosted Good Mood League.

01/10 The South Yorkshire Ability Counts 5-A-Side Grading got underway, with Adults Reds beginning with three large victories. It was a more mixed day for Adults Blacks, losing one, drawing one but finishing the day with two victories.

08/10 Second matches in the The South Yorkshire Ability Counts 7-A-Side. Adults Grey won all three of their games, keeping three cleans sheets and thirteen goals scored. Meanwhile the Adults White struggled with two unlucky defeats, fitness being a key component to both results.

14/10 The start of our Junior’s campaign in The Sheffield & District Junior Sunday League Disability Divsion. Our U12s and U16s teams took part, but the results went against Titans with both teams losing their respecting games. The club posted, “The kids played their hears out, every child involted today gave it their very best and we are proud of everyone.”

15/10 Second 5-A-Side Grading matches of October. Adults Reds won both their matches with two resounding victories, whilst Adults Black also had two superb victory with a hard-fought draw completing their trio of games.

22/10 Keepmoat Stadium played host to the Good Mood League campaign with fitness affecting the final result. The club posted, “The score in the end didn’t do the game justice, but they worked hard for each other and made plenty of chances.”
